Peasedown church to host Family Light Party
A church in Peasedown St John is hosting a Family Light Party on Sunday 31st October, as an alternative to Halloween.
St John’s Church is inviting members of the community along for an afternoon of ‘hot chocolate and yummy marshmallows’ around a fire pit in the church grounds.
Church Operations Manager and Children’s Pastor, Rob Bubyer, said:
“Come along to a family fun evening for all ages where we’ll keep warm with a fire pit, enjoy some hot chocolate and yummy marshmallows on the fire.
There will be sparklers, a bit of magic and maybe a song or two around the campfire. Plus, some tasty hot dogs!”
St John’s Church, which is part of the wider St J’s Group of Anglican Churches, hosts regular children’s and family parties throughout the year.
“Our children’s work includes a variety of weekly support groups, our Soul Kids Sunday School, and seasonal events and parties throughout the year,” added Rob.
All are welcome to attend the Family Light Party on Sunday 31st October, 4.30pm – 5.30pm, but those wishing to take part need to register in advance via the church’s website: www.stjsgroup.church/peasedown-st-john/children
