Our beloved Parish Church extension has the go ahead!
We are delighted to share some wonderful news. Plans to improve our beautiful parish church have been approved, bringing us one step closer to creating a more welcoming, accessible space for everyone.
How much we have raised so far…
£90,000
What's Planned?
The project will provide:
Two accessible toilets
A small kitchen for serving refreshments
Improved facilities while preserving the beauty, character and historic fabric of our church
Our Vision
These improvements will help us:
Welcome more people to more events in our village church, for everyone.
Serve food and drinks at community gatherings—and finally say goodbye to the portaloo!
Enable pupils from St Julian's School to use the church more often and more comfortably.
Protect the church's historic appearance while carefully preserving almost all of its ancient materials.
Create a lasting legacy that will benefit the whole community for generations to come.
How We'll Make It Happen
The project is expected to cost approximately £250,000.
We are incredibly grateful to the generous villagers who have already donated or pledged significant support. Thank you.
To raise the remaining funds, we will be:
Applying for grants – exploring every possible funding opportunity.
Hosting fundraising events – bringing the community together while raising money.
Inviting donations – whether it's a one-off gift or a regular monthly contribution over the coming year.
Accepting anonymous donations
