Review of Giving 2019

Once a year we formally invite the church family to think and pray about their 'giving' to the church - both financial and in terms of serving. Please do read the information below and if you would like to start serving or lay down an area of ministry then please click on the form below.

Part 2: Current Sunday ‘vacancies’ (i.e. current gaps)

  • Reading the passage (10.30 service)

  • Leading prayers (10.30 service)

  • Hospitality (10.30 service)

  • Children Workers & Helpers (Soul Food)

  • Lap-top Operator  (Soul Food)

  • PA operators  (Soul Food) 

  • Hospitality (Soul Food on 4th Sunday of the month)

  • Verging at Baptisms/Christenings/Weddings/Funerals

Part 3: Mid-week serving Opportunities

Examples include:
 


Leading/Helping with a Life Group; Attending weekly Prayer & Praise; Attending/Helping with Monthly Prayer and Praise night; Helping at Little Ones. Helping with a holiday club; Helping at After School Club; Men’s and Women’s Ministries; Baby-sitting;  Mission Committee;  Youth work; Verging/Key-holding; Practical/maintenance jobs in St Johns/Church Hall; Discipleship/mentoring; Preparing a meal for someone with need (Meals to Bless).

Part 1: Introducing the Sunday teams

1. Sunday morning team (10.30am)

  • Reading the passage

  • Leading prayers

  • Hospitality (Welcoming and Set Up/Pack Down)

  • Serving coffee & tea

2. Hospitality team (Soul Food)

Hospitality comprises Set Up & Pack Down and Serving Tea & Coffee. Three out of the four Sundays in a month is covered by members of a Life Group. The fourth week is covered by a mixture of people including church wardens; this week usually needs more people to help with serving tea and coffee.

3. Children’s Work team (Soul Food)

  • Joseph’s Crew (Pre-school & School Year Reception)

  • Ruth and Peter’s Crew (Key Stage 1 & 2)

4. Worship & technical team (Soul Food)

  • PA operator

  • Lap-top operator

  • Musician

5. Leading, Preaching & Prayer ministry team (Both Services)
